La Risata Celebrates 20 Years Of Laughter!

8:52 pm

This year of 2016, La Risata Bar Pizzeria Ristorante celebrates 20 years of serving great Italian food to Kuala Lumpur. WOW! 20 years is quite a long period of time and they still stand strong!. And today also marks the beginning of a year long celebration with a string of monthly events and promotions also throughout the year till December 2016.

What is La Risata means? La Risata, means "The Laughter" are two jovil trattorias tucked away in the suburban areas of Ampang & Damansara. La Risata Ampang opened its door in November 1996, followed by La Risata Damansara 3 years later. From the "humble tomato" beginning in two small shop lots of 60 seats each, La Risata has grown to accomodate up to 260 seats in total now. Cosy neighbourhood restaurants with unassuming decor and a smart casual dining concept inspired by the food, culture and warmth of Italy; they have delighted many diners throughout the years from all around.

Well-known for a good variety of Italian dishes ranging from traditional wood-fired oven thin & crispy pizzas to pastas and main dishes that exudes the very essence of Italian dining - rustic, hearty and good. The menu sees periodical changes but always remains true to Italian cuisines.

In the ever competitive food and beverage industry, La Risata is very proud to be still around after 20 years and still be able to remain one of the best Italian restaurants in Kuala Lumpur; proves by the recent winning of the TimeOut KL Food Awards 2015 in Best Italian category.

In appreciation of the continuous support from the community, La Risata will also be raising funds throughout the year through its activities to support the Children's organization - SUKA Society or Persatuan Kebajikan Suara Kanak-Kanak Malaysia (SUKA) and also Shelter Home for Children.

I had a chance to celebrate 20 years of laughter with La Risata few days ago. Honestly, it was my first time, and guess what? The foods are extremely delicious! Let's check it out, what kind of foods I ate on that special night (yes, I ate almost everything and ruined my diet! haha).

Salmon Carpaccio with Aged Balsamic Vinegar

Cannelloni with Beef Bolognese Sauce

Zucotto

Its an Italian dessert - a semi-frozen, chilled dessert made with brandy, cake and ice cream. And its soooooo nyummmy!

Cannoli

Another of my fav dessert on that night and I ate a lot! Love the filling inside the cannoli!

Shell pasta Stuffed with Riccotta, Parmesa Cheese and Spinach served on Tomato Sauce.

Penne Pesto.

Another fav dish! The taste of Pesto is so rich and delicious!

Ravioli de Pesce.

Pizza Napoletana - Fresh Mozarella Cheese, Fresh Basil, Tomato Sauce and also Pizza Magherita - Tomato, Mozarella and Oregano.

As what I mentioned before, La Risata is well known with their traditional wood-fired oven thin & crispy pizzas. And yeah, no doubt... the pizzas are great!

Fish Fillet simmered with Tomato Sauce, Capers, Black Olives, Anchovy, and Chilli Flakes.

Spaghetti Amatriciana.

Stuffed Button Mushroom with Lamb Confit.

Italian Mozarella Cheese Balls with Basil Infused Olive Oil and Fresh Basil Leaves.

Look how happy we are enjoying all foods! I can't stop eating and its totally a cheat day for me that night! haha. I ate almost 10 Cannoli oh my god.

Cutting cake session! Yeah, trust me. It's a cake not a pizza.

And then, there was quiz session which is my fav thing. haha! and I just won a Signature Manicure & Pedicure Treatment while Shafiq won RM50 Dining Voucher.

It was a wonderful night, with delicious foods and thank you La Risata for having us. It's true when people said, "good foods will make you come back again and again". And I'm definitely will come again!
